Our
markets include – Oil and gas producers including offshore
applications, petrochemical plants, mineral processing plants
including iron, nickel, copper and alumina, mineral sands, power
generation, pulp and paper, marine and food. In addition we
are produce castings for general engineering purposes including
casings, gears, drums and other parts. Impellers, pump casings
valve bodies and components are in regular production for the
fluid control industry.
The plant is built on a principle of flexibility, with various
furnace sizes and moulding facilities so a fast response to
customers needs is provided. We focus on one-offs and small
to medium batches in high integrity materials with full traceability.
We specialise in providing a fast and reliable casting manufacturing
service to the engineering industry.
Castings are produced in a wide range of ferrous
alloys and nickel and cobalt based alloys. From basic cast iron
grades, ductile irons, steel grades including low alloy high
strength steels, high alloy stainless steels including austenitic
and duplex corrosion resistant grades through to heat resistant
stainless steels and special alloys such as umco 50, monels
and hastelloys. Quality has developed the experience and procedures
to produce cast metal components in grades to conform to Australian
and International Standards.
Castings can be produced in weights ranging
from a few grams through to 2.5 tonnes in Steel grades and up
to 3.5 tonnes in Iron grades. In addition we can offer a full
manufacturing service including heat treatment, machining and
testing including NDT methods – Radiography, Ultrasonic,
Magnetic Particle, Dye penetrant, and hardness testing.
Our manufacturing facilities
are supported by Quality Management System Certification to
AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000. The registration covers the Quality Management
System for the manufacturing of ferrous castings in stainless
steels, heat resisting steels, carbon steels, low alloy steels
and iron base alloys. In addition our laboratories are Certified
by NATA for Chemical Analysis, Tensile testing and hardness
testing.
